APCO P25
APCO P25 digital radio is a mission-critical solution utilised by the police/emergency services and some mines in Australia. We have implemented P25 radio for clients, including Hunter Valley Operations and Mount Thorley Warkworth.
TETRA
Tetra Radio, also known as Terrestrial Trunked Radio, was developed in Europe and designed as a mission-critical digital radio system. We’ve migrated several mines across to this system, including Mount Arthur Coal, Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group, Maules Creek and Ravensworth.
Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC)
Cellular networks in Australia provide expansive and comprehensive coverage. Conditions exist where operating over a two-way radio network makes more sense; for example, data centre campuses, oil refineries and other large onsite facilities with high-risk operations that warrant on-premises radio coverage.
This technology is referred to as a push-to-talk over cellular radio or POC/PTTOC, and it’s revolutionising the way you do your best work.

ARCIA ACCREDITATION
Gencom is an Accredited Corporate member of ARCIA, the highest level of accreditation available for a company.
ARCIA is the peak national industry body representing the two-way and associated wireless radio communications industry in Australia. ARCIA accreditation is gained if the company exceeds the benchmarks on technical expertise, business practices and service.
VENDOR ACCREDITATION
Gencom represents most major radio manufacturers. We hold certifications and qualifications with all our vendors. Additionally, we have been certified with Motorola for P25, Tetra and DMR (MotoTRBO). We also hold accreditation in various technologies, including Paging, Wireless Canopy Point to Point and Mesh networks and Telemetry networks.
MINE ACCREDITATION
Gencom’s technical personnel are fully inducted on most of the mines in the region. Because radios are being utilised mine site-wide, we ensure that our staff are inducted and compliant. Inductions qualifications include:
