About Us

Gencom is a leading Hunter and Central Coast Region (Australia) supplier of mobile communication systems. Small business, event organisers, entertainment, hospitality, construction, mining, engineering,
manufacturing, government and commercial ventures use our products and services.

We design, service and support reliable and cost-effective Two Way Radio communications systems. These are ideal for multisite, mobile organisations, are easy to use, and designed to outperform other communications systems in these environments.

Clients who want to reach a large number of staff quickly and cost effectively use our in-house/wide area radio paging systems. Traditional carrier networks, such as mobile phones are expensive to operate and may not provide good coverage in sparsely populated areas.

Gencom monitoring and telemetry systems allow you to control the operation of vital processes, equipment and machines saving you time and money. We also market and distribute an extensive range of GPS products.

Our company-owned transmission sites provide superior coverage for community repeaters, paging systems, trunked networks and a wide range of ancillary services including broadcasting and microwave. These company-owned towers and other Gencom transmission sites extend radio coverage from the Hunter to Sydney.

Trained staff at our Newcastle, Sydney, Gosford, Mudgee and Singleton offices, offer exacting technical sales and support. Our workshops are fully equipped and staffed by qualified technicians. Our mobile workshops provide emergency services, repairs and support and are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Our product brands include  Motorola, Simoco, Tait, Pinpoint, ICOM, GME, Commtech, Garmin, Unicom, Uniden and Kenwood. For these products we offer sales and thorough technical support. But, we can service and support most radio brands.

In addition to our primary role in equipment sales and service, we offer system engineering and design, RF path profiles, radio site surveys, intermodulation analysis and site design.

Recognised as a fast growing Hunter company, our client base has grown by internal growth and an acquisition/merger of Valley Mobile Radio Muswellbrook -1983, Johns Perry Edmunds Moir Electronics Division -1984, Pacer Communications of Gosford -1987, Nationwide Communications- 1991, and Metro Communications in 2013.
