The conventional analog repeater systems are still the most widely used in industry. They are simple, robust, cost effective and a tried and tested technology. Manufacturers have steadily increased the channel numbers they can handle with these devices simultaneously broadening the range of frequencies which a single device can access. In many cases an analog repeater solution is used in tandem with a digital solution to provide analog legacy access to a network for contractors.
